It structures an application as a suite of loosely coupled services that implement business capabilities. And, this allows rapid changes to create individual modules within an application, enabling rapid application updates and changes.
It is followed by containerization, where developers can create transitory production environments that can be cloned to test changes and liquidate after their purpose is served. It empowers application developers to try out new innovative ideas. Further, containers make it easier for businesses to switch between different programming frameworks or deployment platforms. It is because they are shielded from the underlying deployment environment.

Increasingly, the on-premises workloads will shift from traditional data center environments to automated, consumption-based private clouds. It would allow organizations to match resource costs to usage better while still having dedicated use of the assets.
Though, during 2023 for several enterprises, a key concern would be to improve the timeliness and quality of data-driven business decisions. And, for many of them, the proliferation of edge, SaaS & public cloud workloads has created data silos. The focus would be now on creating a consistent approach to data pipeline optimization and logistics for all organizations.
